About Us

Aunt Leah’s Social Enterprises have been helping foster youth for over 25 years. All profits from Aunt Leah’s current two social enterprises — Aunt Leah’s Thrift Store and Aunt Leah’s Trees — help prevent children in foster care from becoming homeless and mothers in need from losing custody of their children. Our Social Enterprises provide these individuals with paid skill training and also helps them with housing, furniture, clothing, and other essential needs.

Aunt Leah’s Thrift store has been rated as one of the Top 5 Thrift Stores in Vancouver!

Every Dollar Counts!

When government funding of our programs was scaled back, we needed to find alternative ways to financially support our programs. Social enterprises like our thrift store and tree lots not only give us a way to raise much-needed funds, but enable us to create an in-house job training program where youth can build the skills and confidence they need to get hired while still feeling supported. Aunt Leah’s Place offers Retail Training Programs for foster youth and young moms through our two social enterprises: Aunt Leah’s Thrift & Aunt Leah’s Tree Lots. Your support helps kids in foster care and young mothers achieve a better future.
